POSITIONS

Associate Producer (Full Summer Season)

This compensated position is a key team member in the preparation and running of our 2018 summer season.  Working closely with the Managing Director, the Associate Producer will assist with the marketing of our summer schedule and our blog.  The Associate Producer will also attend monthly board meetings, supervise summer volunteers and assist running the front of the house during performances.

Requirements:

·      Must have theatre experience, preferably in management.

·      Must be organized and be able to work independently.

·      Knowledge of marketing and social media is preferred.

·      Creative, fun and flexible.

·      Attention to detail.

Hours are flexible, but will begin in early February through early August. 

Compensation:  A base stipend plus a percentage of the season net profit.

Technical Director (Full Summer Season)

This compensated position is a key team member in the running of our 2018 summer season.  Working closely with the Executive Producer and Artistic Director, the Technical Director will ensure the technical aspects of the show (sound, lights and any special effects) will run smoothly during rehearsals and performances.

Responsibilities:

·      Assist in setting sound and lighting equipment.

·      Ensure sound and lights are ready for run throughs, tech rehearsals and performances.

·      Run sound and lights during run throughs, tech rehearsals and performances.

·      Assist in the development of microphone run sheet and assist actors with microphones.

·      Assist in the running of the front of the house during performances.

·      Be present at all set construction days.

Requirements:

·      Must have theatre experience, preferably in management.

·      Must be organized and be able to work independently.

·      Knowledge of marketing and social media is preferred.

·      Creative, fun and flexible.

·      Attention to detail.

Must be present at all run throughs, tech rehearsals, performances and set construction days.  

Compensation:  A base stipend plus a percentage of the season net profit.

Costume Director (Full Summer Season)

The Costume Director will work closely with each Director to determine the style of the show.  The Costume Director will lead and supervise show interns and parent-volunteer committee to oversee costuming of each show.

Each actor is responsible for their own base costume as designated by the Costume Director (a base costume is typically; shoes, socks, undergarments and pants (when appropriate)).

Costumes may be; rented, purchased, borrowed or made and adjusted as needed.  The Costume Director will allocate budgeted funds towards the costuming of each show.

Requirements:

·      Must have theatre costume experience.

·      Must be organized and able to work independently.

·      Must be able to sew and have access to a sewing machine.

Hours:  Very flexible.  Must attend audition day one of each show.  Most of the costuming work will need to be completed prior to the end of June.  Changes, repairs and alterations will be needed throughout the run of each show.

Compensation:  A base stipend plus a percentage of the season net profit.

Stage Manager for, “Steel Magnolias”

This is a compensated position.  The Stage Manager will

·      Work closely with the Artistic Director during the preparation and running of auditions (April 12 & 13). 

·      Attend rehearsals and assist in the rehearsal process.

·      Oversee the running of tech rehearsals and performances 

Requirements:

·      Must have theatre and/or directing experience.

·      Must be detail oriented with good follow up skills.

·      Must be a leader with a gentle heart.

·      Must have good communications skills.

·      Must be willing to be flexible and able to ‘go with the flow’.

Hours are based on rehearsal schedule, plus whatever it takes to get the job done.

Compensation:  A stipend plus a percentage of the productions net profit.

Stage Manager for, “The Music Man”

This is a compensated position.  The Stage Manager will

·      Work closely with the Artistic Director during the preparation and running of auditions (March 19 & 22). 

·      Attend rehearsals and assist in the rehearsal process.

·      Oversee the running of tech rehearsals and performances.

Requirements:

·      Must have theatre and/or directing experience.

·      Must be detail oriented with good follow up skills.

·      Must be a leader with a gentle heart.

·      Must have good communications skills.

·      Must be willing to be flexible and able to ‘go with the flow’.

Hours are based on rehearsal schedule, plus whatever it takes to get the job done.

Compensation:  A stipend plus a percentage of the productions net profit.

Summer Interns

The Stage Right Productions Internship program is designed to offer new and upcoming theatre professionals the opportunity to gain hands on experience in the areas of:  Stage Management, Prop Management, Marketing, Tech, Costuming and Theatre Management.

We are seeking two interns per show (Seussical, KIDS; Steel Magnolias; The Music Man).  Internship jobs begin with the audition process and will be completed after the strike of the assigned show (see summer calendar for details).

Requirements:

·      Must be at least eighteen and have 1 year of college (and/or 2 years of theatrical experience).

·      Must have secure and reliable transportation.

·      Must demonstrate an ability to think on your feet and work independently.

·      Must be responsible, reliable and considerate of the theatre process and those who participate in the process.

Compensation:  This position offers a small stipend (in addition to invaluable experience & training).
