"LITTLE WOMEN", AUDITION INFORMATION

 

Audition Location: Auditions will be held at 8377 Tampico Ct., in Fair Oaks.

 

Audition Dates and Times: Auditions will take place during the evenings of May 15 & May 16. Please use the button above to visit our Sign-Up Genius page to reserve a timeslot. Once you sign up for an audition timeslot, you will be emailed sides from the show you can use to prepare.  If you cannot find an available time that works for your schedule, please contact Stage Right via email at: performing@stagerightproductions.net.

 

What to Expect: Please bring a resume, a head shot and be prepared to read from the script (you will be emailed sides once you have reserved an audition slot). We will hold group call backs at the same location on Wednesday, May 17 from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm, and announce casting no later than the evening of May 19. Full cast read through is Tuesday, May 23.

 

Rehearsal and Performance Information: Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, May 23 and typically will be held 3 nights a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm) in Fair Oaks. Tech Rehearsals (beginning June 25), and all performances will be in Rocklin, at St Matthew Lutheran Church (3785 Placer Corporate Drive). Performances are on June 30, July 1, 2, 7 and 8 (on July 8 we will present both a matinee and evening performance).

CAST OF CHARACTERS (7 women and 4 men):

(Each of our complex characters grow and age over the course of the show. The March sister’s, as well as the male lead (aka: Laurie/Teddy) all start out as teenagers and grow into young adults. The actors in these roles need to embody the energy and be believable in both age brackets.

 

MEG .............. .... eldest March daughter (dutiful, motherly, good natured)

JOSEPHINE ("JO") .......... ....... second eldest (spirited, quick wit, high energy)

BETH....... .. ....... third daughter (contemplative, caring, old soul)

AMY ............. .... youngest daughter (artistic, fanciful, a bit manipulative)

HANNAH (age 40 and above)......... ........ the March’s maid (older women, wise, loyal)

MARMEE (age 40 and above) ................... mother of the March girls. (steadfast, compassionate, hopeful)

AUNT MARCH (age 50 and above) ....... ....... the March girls’ great aunt (direct, opinionated, fearful)

THEODORE LAWRENCE (aka “Laurie” or “Teddy”)…... neighbor of the March’s (rebellious, thoughtful, playful)

JOHN BROOKE (mid 20’s)....... ... Laurie’s tutor/Meg’s suitor (proper, intelligent, and shy)

MR. MARCH (age 50 and above)....... ..... . father of the March girls (proud, worn)

PROFESSOR BHAER (mid 30’s)… ………… Jo’s friend New York/suitor (supportive, direct, smart)
